The short version

This website sets no cookies, runs no analytics and no advertising trackers, and does not build a profile of you. We only hold what you type into a form and send us.

What you send us

When you send an inquiry, we receive what you typed: your name, phone number, email, your dates, who is staying, pets, and anything you write about your stay. That is used to reply to you and to match you with the right home. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it for advertising.

When you press Apply Now

Pressing Apply Now records which home you were looking at and the dates you had chosen, so we know what you were trying to book even if you do not finish. That record holds no name, no contact details and nothing you typed about yourself. You are then handed to our property management system, DoorLoop, and the application itself, including anything it asks for screening, is collected and held by DoorLoop under its own privacy policy. This website does not receive or store your application answers.

Companies that handle data for us

We keep this list short on purpose, and these are all of them: Vercel hosts the site and keeps standard server logs; Supabase stores our availability notes and the Apply Now record above; DoorLoop holds the property records and runs rental applications; Resend sends email from the site. None of them are permitted to use your information for their own purposes.

Things your browser loads from elsewhere

Home photos are served from DoorLoop's image storage and map tiles come from OpenStreetMap. Loading those shows your IP address to those services, the same as visiting any website that shows a map. We send them nothing about you beyond that request.

How long we keep it

Inquiries are kept while we are helping you and for up to two years afterwards, because renters often come back for a second contract. Apply Now records are kept for one year. Ask us to delete yours sooner and we will.

Children

This site is for people renting a home and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their information.

Want to know what we hold, correct it, or have it deleted? Call the office at (573) 886-8939, email mapleleaf@socket.net, or visit us at 3610 Buttonwood Dr, Suite 200, Columbia, MO 65201. We will take care of it, and we will not treat you any differently for asking.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Maple Leaf Retreats LLC is responsible for the information described here.
